There were so many tadpoles in the canal bottom today.

I suspect that they are Pacific Chorus Frogs, but I may have to update that if I learn differently.
It’s good that we get some more rain this week, the canal is getting quite low, so it’s basically a race against the metamorphosis clock. These tadpoles aren’t very big, but neither are the adult frogs, so I’m not really sure where they are in that timeline.
The adults could be heard a few weeks ago, in the evenings.
